Cher is more than a performer, more than an institution, more than an actress, more than a goddess. She has transcended time and beauty to become one of the most legendary stage acts of all time. Beginning her career in the 60s as one half of the duo Sonny & Cher with her then-husband Sonny Bono, Cher’s career has been reborn again and again and again. There really are no words to capture her importance to the legacy of music and culture, but if you love hits like “I Got You Babe,” “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves,” “If I Could Turn Back Time,” “Strong Enough” and “Believe” then you HAVE to see Cher at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on April 24!

One of the biggest names in a new generation of country songwriters, Thomas Rhett comes from Country royalty as the son of Rhett Akins. However he’s made his own name by combining mile-wide pop hooks with the heart and soul of country! See him on his Life Changes tour at Canadian Tire Centre on April 26 to find out why he’s one of the biggest up-and-coming stars of country music!

Poutine is the ultimate in Canadian street food, so where better to enjoy it than on the street! The Sparks Street Poutine Fest is an annual event where multiple vendors compete to give you the ultimate ooey, gooey savoury treat!

Of course, poutine is usually just french fries, cheese curds and gravy, but it’s endlessly variable with all sorts of additions or riffs on a classic theme. If, for instance, you’ve never had a bacon and caramelized onion poutine, you’ve never really lived! GRANTED it will probably take a day or two off your life, but we say it’s worth it. Takes place April 25 to 28!

April will be an exciting month to visit Ottawa – book a room at the Best Western Plus Ottawa City Centre to stay in the heart of the action!
