The best place to stay in Ottawa!

Halloween is fun for kids, but it’s even more fun for adults! If you’re looking for something fun to do this Halloween season, come to Ottawa for these trips through time!

The House of Targ is Ottawa’s coolest hangout spot. A classic arcade with immaculately maintained machines, it’s also a fantastic bar and music venue that serves delicious, house-made pierogies (who doesn’t love perogies?), the finest microbrews in Upper Canada, and some of the hottest bands in Ottawa.

This October 26, Targ will be celebrating the darkness of Halloween by partying like it’s 1999 2001 with their Halloween Emocore event! Coming back for its third year, this is a popular event where members of Ottawa’s favourite bands perform the emo music we all loved (even if we don’t like to admit it now). Members of We Were Sharks/Premonition will be performing Taking Back Sunday, My Friend PJ takes on Jimmy Eat World, Mosely covers Thrice, and Slip will play My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge in its entirety. If you grew up in the early 2000s, or feel like you missed out by coming of age later, this is going to be a heck of a lot of fun.

(One note – make sure you put a token down on the pre-digital game Ice Cold Beer trust us. It’s the best).

Or maybe your favourite music comes from the 80s. If so, then you’ll want to get tickets to see The Sober Second Thoughts (the name is ironic) performing the hits of the 80s at the Vimy Brewing Company for their first annual Halloween Spooktacular on October 26! Vimy is one of the most exciting breweries in the city and this is going to a great chance to try their brews while dancing in vintage 80s costume while dancing to all your favourite tunes!
