Winterlude | January 29 – February 15, 2016

Every winter, Winterlude touches down on the Rideau Canal. Tie up your skates, and enjoy amazing ice sculpting, live performances, fun and games, hot drinks, and a sweet staple of the Ottawa diet: beavertails.

The Canadian Tulip Festival | May 8 – 18, 2015

Every May, Ottawa erupts in a kaleidoscope of colour, thanks to a bloom of over a million tulips. The bulbs of these flowers were donated by the Netherlands, as a thanks for Canada’s sheltering Dutch Princess Juliana in the 1940s. Today, the tulip bloom is accompanied by live music, fireworks and more.

Ottawa Bluesfest | July 9 – 19, 2015

Ottawa Bluesfest, which kicks off in July of each year, may have started as an all-Blues festival, but now, it’s a pan-genre musical extravaganza. Since its inception in 1994, Bluesfest has hosted the likes of Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, Great Big Sea, Kanye West, Kiss, the Black Eyed Peas, Carlos Santana and Skrillex. The festival has something for everyone!
